Meet our nursing team

John Dryfhout, RN

You may not recognize John in person, but you might recognize his voice as he is the one who communicates biopsy/pathology results to our patients. John is originally from Canada, graduated as an RN, and received his bachelor’s from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester. He has over 25 years of nursing experience, first in cardiac intensive care, then nursing management, and now dermatology. His main focus is pathology, coordination of care, melanoma services and complex communications on behalf of our providers. Outside of work John enjoys the outdoors, coffee, and his sons Captain Mark (US Army) and future Dr. Adam (Med school).

Amber Hoppy, RN

Mohs Surgical Team

Hi I’m Amber, I was an LPN for almost 6 years and I recently just graduated with my RN this past May. I love working in dermatology, I have been in this field for many years and I’ve learned so much. When I have free time I love being outdoors and camping with my husband and 3 dogs.

Katie Parker, LPN

I mainly prepare patients for surgery and complete XTRAC treatments for vitiligo and psoriasis. I love coffee, running and bunnies! My favorite part about working here is the people and the patient’s that I work with, they make coming to work exciting everyday.

Kaitlin Groeger, LPN

Hello! My name is Kaitlin and I have worked in dermatology since 2015 and have also worked in the step-down ICU at ECMC. I am who most people talk to when they call our office and speak with nursing. Dermatology is a passion of mine. I enjoy helping our patient’s with any questions or concerns that they may have in regards to their care in our office. I want each patient to feel valued and know that their concerns are being cared for. When I’m not at work I spend my free time on Rushford Lake with my fiancé and three dogs. I’m also involved in volunteering with local dog rescues. I look forward to connecting with you!
